Tomaree National Park
Tomaree National Park is located just a few minutes’ drive from the town of Nelson Bay, and offers several bushwalking trails that lead to stunning lookout points with panoramic views of the coastline. The most popular trail in the park is the Tomaree Head Summit Walk, which takes around 30-45 minutes each way and offers stunning views of the ocean, beaches, and the surrounding landscape.
Worimi Conservation Lands
The Worimi Conservation Lands, also known as the Stockton Bight Sand Dunes, are the largest moving sand dunes in the southern hemisphere, covering an area of more than 4,200 hectares. Visitors can explore the dunes on foot, by 4WD, or by quad bike, and there are several bushwalking trails that lead through the dunes and along the beach.
